I have been involved in Montessori for over 35 years. I promise I am not that old, I just got involved at a really young age!  I started off as a student, a teacher, a Director and now a Montessori Mom. I want to share my many years of experiences as a Montessori School Director in early childhood education with parents and caregivers. Through this blog, I hope to provide a place where you can feel supported, encouraged, learn more about early childhood education, pregnancy, ask questions and much more.

I am married to an amazing man and father. It was just the two of us for 13 years living foot loose and fancy-free… happy hours, late night drinks, dinner with friends, you name it, we did it. After 13 years of just the two of us, we are now a party of 3!! Our lives have completely changed from late night dancing to late night feedings and blowouts, but I wouldn’t change a thing. We just have to find humor in everything now that our lives have changed so drastically over the past 2 years. We have one beautiful 18-month-old daughter that is the joy of our lives. Our daughter is fun, smart and a bundle of energy. Being an older mother, I have to make sure to be a couple of steps ahead of her with ideas of activities we can do to keep her entertained. After so many years of working with other people’s children, and giving so much parenting advice, it is nice to finally be on the other side of it and put my experiences to work with my own daughter.  I am so grateful to share so many amazing Montessori experiences with her.

I started my life-long Montessori involvement at the age of 2 in Dallas, Texas. My mother enjoyed the Montessori Method so much that she pursued her education and career in Montessori. She started working at Montessori schools and I was able to attend the schools that she worked for all the way through 6th grade when she decided to become a School Director. The new school she was going to run did not have an elementary program I could attend, that is when I transferred to public school. My mother eventually opened up 3 successful Montessori schools of her own in Texas. I was fortunate to learn so much from her and helping her at the schools, it lead me to have a passion of my own for Montessori and children. My passion lead me to also direct Montessori schools for over 15 years. I have gained so much invaluable experience in children’s academics, social and emotional development, positive discipline methods, and many other important aspects of a child’s needs from birth through early adolescence.

I will provide you the tools necessary to deal with some of the challenges that adults face with children. I will be happy to answer any questions regarding children or childhood education. We all have moments of struggles with our child. Even with all of my years of education and experience working with children, some days I still want to pull my hair out and take a mommy time out.

I hope to share some of my experiences and show how raising a child can be enjoyable. Thank you for visiting my page. You can find me on Facebook and Twitter, please stop by to say hello or contact me with any questions.
